Morgan Johnson is currently located in Los Angeles, working on his own recordings and seeking other opportunities within the music industry. He plays multiple instruments including both the electric and acoustic guitar but his main focus is acoustic finger style. His musical inspirations include The Grateful Dead, The Beatles, John Lennon, Jerry Garcia, Jamie Findlay, Antoine Dufour, Tommy Emmanuel, Andy McKee, Chris Thile and Frank Zappa.

He cites growing up in rural Texas as one of the reasons he started playing in his early years and later attending National Guitar Workshops during his high school summers. Morgan recently graduated from GIT and Audio Engineering program at Musicians Institute in Los Angeles. He has also studied Guitar Performance at Berklee College of Music in Boston. He aims to gain experience in the music industry through performance and producing, currently working on his album and building his studio in Silverlake, CA.
